Ich glaube, dass der Film in 3D-Animation rauskommen wird, weil, wie würde man sonst die Morphball-Technik hinbekommen. Nintendo ist cool und großartik!
Ich hab von dem Film auch schon gehört, und ich denke, obwohl ich kein so grosser Metroid-Fan bin, gucke ich ihn mir an. Ist immerhin trotzdem ein Nintendo-Film, von daher.
Ok freute euch denn es könnte den Film eventuel geben.

Die Verfilmung von "Metroid" - evtl. unter der Regie von John Woo - sollte eigentlich noch vor 2006 in den Kinos starten... Aber die Produktion liegt vorerst auf Eis...
arstechnica.com: The Hollywood Reporter is, you guessed it, reporting that John Woo has optioned Nintendo's classic Metroid game for a movie. The Metroid series features heroine Samus Aran and her adventures battling various deadly organisms, space pirates, sundry interesting level bosses, and of course, Mother Brain. One can see why John Woo, publicly famed for such movies as Mission Impossible: 2 and Face/Off, would be interested in what would assuredly be a movie chock-full of effect centered around martial-arts and acrobatics.
The movie will center on the origins of the game's female protagonist, sexy bounty hunter Samus Aran, and relate her adventures battling the insidious life-sucking Metroids and their controlling force, Mother Brain. "We have to assume the mainstream audience is unfamiliar with the property," Foxhoven said. "As for the rest of the film, we will stay true to the game and have Samus battling the Metroids and Mother Brain in a fight for control of the galaxy."
The movie is supposedly slated for a 2006 release, and Metroid fans everywhere are hoping that Woo won't overproduce the movie as he's been wont to do, lately. One can also see how Samus, the hero who gamers simply assumed was a man until they learned better, may end up being cast as some 90-pound Paris Hilton clone who knows karate. Let's hope for the best. I mean, just because of this horrid gem, we can't dismiss all game-based movies, can we?

Warren Zide and Craig Perry, both of whom were producers on those films, are currently searching for writers as well as a director for the project.

N Film wär natürlich ganz toll! ^_^ Mit der Bedingung, dass die Schauspielerin von Samus natürlich ssooorrgfältig ausgewählt wird. =D Schade, dass er grad auf Glatteis gelegt wurde.

Naja, wie hier schon gesagt wurde, sollte der Film ursprünglich wohl um 2006 herauskommen und liegt seither auf Eis.
Meine Meinung dazu: Eigentlich sehr Schade, ich selbst zähle Metroid zu meinen totalen Favoriten und hätte mich wirklich sehr über einen Film gefreut. Wenn man jetzt aber immer noch nichts Neues gehört hat, würde ich sagen, dass man ihn getrost als tot abstempeln kann. Gleichzeitig sehe ich darin aber auch etwas Gutes. Man denke an den gräßlichen Mario Bros. Film. Immerhin besteht jetzt nicht die Gefahr, dass das auch mit Metroid passiert. Natürlich sind Amerikaner vertrauter damit, epische Weltraumschlachten zu inszenieren als Kämpfe gegen humanoide Schildkröten, wenn man nun aber an diverse andere Verfilmungen bekannter Videospiele denkt, bei denen man eigentlich nicht viel falsch machen konnte (wie z.B. Street Fighter, das einfach nur ein guter Action-Film sein muss, womit sich Hollywood eigentlich auskennen sollte), muss man sich wohl doch eingestehen, dass Filme über japanische Spiele am besten aus Japan kommen, oder eben gar nicht.
